Stody Estate Permissive Bridleway and Open Access

This site lies between the villages of Melton Constable, Briston, Edgefield, Hunworth, Briningham and Thornage, approximately 3 miles south of HOLT. This permissive bridleway forms a 15 kilometre (9 mile) circular route that links with other Public Rights of Way, and the local villages. It aims to provide a comprehensive network of paths giving delightful views over the pleasant rolling Norfolk countryside during short or longer outings. Users will be able to view the hedgerow restoration and planting taking place as part of the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme, as well as grassland recreation and other environmental initiatives. This Scheme is in conjunction with Natural England and is supported by Norfolk County Council and Forestry Enterprise.
