February 2009 - Adel MacNicol appoited President of the R.A.S.E. for 2009.

 

August 2008 - Work on the River Glaven is planned for August 2008 in partnership with the Environment Agency, The River Glaven Conservation Group, University College of London, Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Natural England and Dr Richard Hey to improve the river habitat for the benefit of Brook Lamprey, Stone Loach, Whiteclawed Crayfish &Water Vole.

 

June 26th - 2008 Jeff Gray received a 50 year Long Service Medal at the Norfolk Show.

   

 

June 2008 - Farm entered in 'Future of Farming 2008' competition. Regional Winner for East of England.

 

May 2008 - Adel MacNicol welcomed all staff and retired staff and their partners, and a large number of customers, partners, suppliers, tenants and villagers to a Garden Party at Stody Lodge.

 

Feb 2008 - Jamie Philippi, Adel MacNicol's 2nd grandson is born.

 

Feb 1st 2008 - Farm is accepted into Higher Level Environmental Scheme by Natural England, to replace and build on the previous 10 year Countryside Stewardship Scheme. The HLS includes hedge protection, resource protection, grassland recreation and enhancement, wild flower mixes, wild bird nesting cover and many different environmental options. Access has been increased and improved and 10 hectares of wood pasture created.

 

Aug 1st 2007 - Working in partnership with grazing tenants the Estate secured 4 grants of £10,000 from the Catchment Sensitive Farming Initiative to carry out repairs to farm tracks, to prevent or reduce soil erosion into the River Glaven.

 

Jan 26th 2006- The Farm played host to a workshop on improving irrigation water efficiency at Stody Estate Office, Melton Constable. A Rural Development (RDS) initiative to help farmers in the East of England make practical and cost effective adjustments to improve their irrigation efficiency and water resource management practices.

 

2003 - The Farm was runner-up in the European Anders Wall Biodiversity Award.
